Conspired Lovers is inspired by love-letter-writing. A font to capture the intentions of writing love letters more than any other font.

Conspired Lovers ist inspiriert vom Schreiben von Liebesbriefen. Eine Schrift die die Intentionen vom Liebesbriefeschreiben mehr verkörpert als jede andere Schrift.

How did the Project start?
In the last five years I wrote love letters with two persons. I became used to the joy of handwriting with ink and nib on fine paper. Through practice and experimentation my hand continuously refined. As life moves on, suddenly I found myself with no one to write love letters to. It’s a luxury to have someone to write letters to. Missing this luxury and joy of writing, listening to Gregory Porter’s “Be Good”, the decision was made to take this 5 years of writing and make this dance on paper a font. A handwritten typeface for everyone to use.

This font was created in July, 2012 and named Conspired Lovers. A font to capture and convey your message in a special way to the beloved ones close to your heart. With a long practice of writing crafted into the unique design I hope that you and the recipient of your writing will soon enjoy this design.

The Open-type version features 350+ glyphs including alternates and ligatures. All lowercase and most uppercase letters are connected, to create a realistic hand-writing-calligraphy on your creations.

Conspired Lovers is international and features a wide range of accented letters to reach everyone in Sweden, France, Hungary and almost everywhere around the globe. The font is delivered in OpenType format and works on PC and MAC.

Wie hat das Projekt begonnen?
In den vergangenen fünf Jahren habe ich mir mit zwei Personen Liebesbriefe geschrieben. Ich gewöhnte mich an den Genuss handschriftlich mit Tinte auf feines Papier zu schreiben. Durch kontinuierliches Schreiben und Experimentieren habe ich meinen Stil verfeinert. Das Leben bewegt sich weiter; auf einmal finde ich mich in einer Situation ohne eine Person an die ich einen Liebesbrief schreiben kann. Es ist ein angenehmer Luxus jemanden zu haben dem man Briefe schreiben kann. Als mir dieser Genuß am meisten fehlt höre ich Gregory Porter’s “Be Good” und entschließe diese fünf Jahre Liebesbriefeschreiben, diesen Tanz auf dem Papier aufzunehmen und damit eine Schrift zu machen. Einen Font mit dem jeder schreiben kann.

Die Schrift wurde im Juli 2012 umgesetzt und heißt Conspired Lovers. Ein Font der die Absicht einer Botschaft auf eine einzigartige Weise einfängt und übermittelt, an die die einem nah am Herzen liegen.

Sie erhalten eine Schrift die für PC und Mac geeignet ist. Alle Kleinbuchstaben und die meisten Großbuchstaben sind miteinander verbunden um ein sehr realistisches handschriftliches Schriftbild in Ihren Kreationen zu erzeugen.
Mit mehr als 350 Zeichen, Alternativfiguren, Ligaturen, Sonderzeichen und Akzenten (z.B. Å, Ä, Ã, Â , Á , À oder Ñ, Ò, Ó, Ô, Õ, Ö, Ø) ist der Font auch für internationale Kommunikation vorbereitet.

How to purchase and download a font

It is very simple to purchase and download a font.

First Step.
Select a product license that fits your needs. I.e. you like to install and use the font on two computers select "two users" and press the "Add to cart." button. Check the order displayed in your shopping cart. Proceed with the process by pressing the "Proceed to Checkout" button. Follow the instructions to process the payment.

Second Step.

PayPal
After PayPal has processed your payment - which should be done within seconds - a printable receipt along with a unique download link will be presented to you. By pressing that link the font file will be downloaded immediately to your computer and is ready to use. Additionally the unique download link to the font file and a copy of the receipt will be emailed to you automatically.

Wire transfer / cheque:
After the money is transferred a unique download link to the font file along with a copy of the receipt will be emailed to you automatically.

A restocking fee of 25% of the total purchase price applies to returns of all tangible goods.

Echinacea

I admit the flowers in this picture (Echinacea) I had forgotten in my studio.
After weeks they dried out, but they kept their color.
At one point they fell down on my couch and spread everywhere.
Since chance is an important factor in my creation process,
I decided to work with it and to experiment and try to capture this beauty.

I never meant to publish this picture, but after I showed my experiments to a friend he insisted that I should print them. As a tribute to the old masters of still life painting that can be found from the 16th to 18th century throughout Europe, especially in the Netherlands and Germany. My friend first thought that I had taken a picture from one of those hundred-year-old Dutch prints. He was convinced the little seeds that lay on the front glass were flies surrounding the fleeting beauty of the fading flowers. While I never intensely studied the old masters, somehow I knew their pictures. Their stillness lures to dwell in the picture. It is the meditational aspect in viewing, or the contemplational rest these pictures offer that fascinates me.

Detail:

The black background and subject matter too are common ground with the “old masters still life”.
One difference I’d like to point out.
You’ll find layers, such as objects in front of each other and with it depth,
but surprisingly you’ll never find the illusion of perspective.
